BLUE RIDGE PACKS AND TRACKS

WHERE ACCESSBILITY MEETS ADVENTURE

Nature is for everyone.
We're on a mission to make it truly accessible.

Whether you’re navigating life in a wheelchair or dreaming of bringing access to your local trails, we’re here to break down the barriers that keep people from experiencing the healing power of the outdoors.

What We Do

We create off-road outdoor adventures for people with mobility challenges
using adaptive track chairs, trained volunteers, and strong community partnerships.

BUT THIS IS ABOUT MORE THAN A HIKE.

It’s about restoring hope, creating connection, and experiencing the joy of nature without limitations.

  • Trail-based excursions in the Blue Ridge Mountains

  • Free use of track chairs with volunteer guides

  • Advocacy and partnership to inspire access nationwide

Our Story: A Mission Born from Grief, Grit, and God

When Paige French lost her husband unexpectedly just before they were set to launch this nonprofit together, she thought the dream had died too. But months later, she woke up with a clear vision—and a deep conviction that this wasn’t just her plan or Johnny’s plan. It was God’s.

“It’s funny that you thought it was Johnny’s plan. It’s funny that you thought it was your plan.

It’s really My plan—now get on with it.”

Now, Blue Ridge Packs & Tracks exists to bring that vision to life: to open trails, transform lives, and inspire a national movement toward true accessibility.

Want to bring track chairs to your community?

You don't need experience. Just heart.

We’re here to help everyday people and parks departments partner together to bring accessible outdoor adventures to life in their communities.

  •  Templates, waivers, and resources

  • Guidance from someone who’s done it

  • A growing network of passionate changemakers

What People Are Saying

The Blue Ridge Packs & Tracks has provided my son with the chance to explore places he could have never done without the amazing track chair.   My son has very limited mobility.  The use of his traditional wheelchair, propelled by others,  limits the places he can go which is only on smooth level surfaces.   The track chair has given him the chance to visit the Blue Ridge Tunnel, which he loved, as he smiled, laughed and clapped.  My son does not have leisure skills so the track chair opened his world to new adventures outdoors.  The opportunity to visit  nature trails, family inclusion, the ability to be able to see, hear, and touch  to explore a world beyond he could have never experienced without the Blue Ridge Packs & Tracks!
